Much More Than An Average 13yr Old Girl
Hi. My name's Sarah and I'm 13 years old, about to embark on my 3rd season in the National Ministox Championship, despite all the detractors around me at school - you know the type, the ones that come out with the usual trash talk of "you won't be able to do that", or "you're a girl, what are you doing in a boy's sport", the type that when challenged and asked when they're racing next have nothing to say. It really is rather sad for them and amusing for me, proving them wrong, along with the other (usually around) 20% of the grid that is female :-)
I first went spectating at a stock car meeting at the age of 3 at Birmingham Wheels. Whilst it was fun, and something I did with my Daddy and Grampy at the weekends, it was when I was 5yrs old I truly fell in love with the sport having witnessed Courtney Witts win the National Ministox National Championship at Coventry, and it was after this that I first dreamt of becoming a National Ministox Racer.
Ever determined and never willing to give up on the dream and sport I love, over the next 5 years I saved hard, and proved myself both academically, and on the kart track, to my parents to encourage them to invest in my dream, in order to reach the pinnacle of the junior racing world. So, in 2022 I began my adventure as the driver of the #18 National Ministox.
And now the journey continues into my third year of racing in 2024. Wish me luck.
